Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound: for the adventurous with claustrophobia
Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound
The Land Rover Defender 130 Outbound is only available with five seats. Maximum luggage space, in other words. The car even has 2,516 liters of luggage space if you also fold down the second row of seats. The nearly flat cargo floor (1.26 meters long behind the second row of seats) accommodates everything from wetsuits to camping and climbing gear.
Features
A Defender 130 Outbound is identified by subtle, purposeful looks where the bumpers and grille insert are finished in Shadow Atlas Matt, while the side vents are finished in Anthracite. Two rim designs are available to complement the Outbound’s design: 20-inch alloy wheels in Gloss Black and 22-inch alloy wheels in Shadow Atlas Matt.
Colors
The range of body colors includes Fuji White, Santorini Black, Carpathian Grey and Eiger Grey, with tinted rear side windows and body-color D-pillar finishers completing the exterior style elements. For customers who need scratch protection for adventures off the beaten path, a Satin Protective Film is available, but not on the Fuji White colorway.
Windsor
For the interior, there is a choice of upholstery in full Windsor leather or a combination of hard-wearing Resist synthetic leather and Robustec fabric. The upholstery is in Ebony, with an Ebony Morzine headliner and Robustec trim on the center console. Defenders signature Cross Car Beam is finished in Satin Black Powder Coat Brushed Finish.
Sturdy rubber floor mats
Practical additions provide additional interior protection at the beginning and end of activities. Sturdy rubber floor mats fold out to protect the rear bumper when loading large or heavy items, such as bicycles and suitcases. Smaller items can be kept safely out of sight thanks to additional storage compartments. Also, additional tie-down eyelets and a new luggage net allow you to secure large or small outdoor equipment while driving.
Terrain Response 2
The Defender’s proven Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system combined with Terrain Response 2 ensures incomparable 4×4 capability, while Electronic Air Suspension and Adaptive Dynamics are standard equipment. Advanced off-road driving technology ensures effortless and reassuring progress over any terrain, with the Electronic Air Suspension allowing up to 430 mm of ground clearance and a wading height of 900 mm.
Towing 3,000 kg
The Defender 130 Outbound can tow up to 3,000 kg, pulling everything from jet skis to boat trailers and caravans with ease. The air suspension makes pairing it up easier: buttons in the boot allow the rear of the car to vary in height.
The Defender 130 Outbound is available as a D300 with a 221 kW (300 hp) six-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine with MHEV technology for optimum performance and fuel economy.
Defener 130 with V8
The Defender 130’s offerings have also expanded with the addition of the 5.0 V8 Supercharged gasoline engine. This powerhouse offers a compelling combination of performance, refinement and capabilities. With an output of 368 kW (500 hp) and 610 Nm of torque, it propels the Defender 130 from 0-100 km/h in 5.7 seconds. With the introduction of the V8, the eight-seater’s range consists of three top engines, with the six-cylinder Ingenium P400 (294 kW/400 hp) and D300 (221 kW/300 hp) as other choices.
