Daniel Ricciardo’s fleet: these are the cars Daniel drives privately

August 12, 2022

Porsche

We’ll start that list off right. A hypercar should not be missing from an F1 driver’s collection, of course. Daniel Ricciardo owns an extremely expensive Porsche 918 Spyder. The powertrain is good for a whopping 887 hp, all of which goes to the rear wheels. Some of the power is readily available: after all, it is a plug-in hybrid. A total of 918 were produced. By the way, the 918 is not the only fast Porsche that Daniel Ricciardo owns: he also owns a GT3RS.

Aston Martin V12 Vantage S

Of course, a piece of British class is not to be missed in a decent car collection. Could that be the reason Daniel Ricciardo purchased this Aston Martin V12 Vantage S? The British sports car is equipped with a 573-hp 5.9-liter V12 engine. So his private car has twice as many cylinders as his “work car.

Renault Megane RS Trophy

He who does not honor the little, does not deserve the big. F1 drivers know better than anyone that small, lightweight cars actually drive just as much fun as heavy, powerful hypercars. Therefore, what should not be missing from a driver’s car collection is a nice hot hatch. And a fun hot hatch, the Renault Megane RS Trophy certainly is. With 300 hp on only 1,400 kilograms, this is a very nice street-legal toy. Daniel got the car when he started driving for the French automaker in Formula 1.

Pick-ups

Daniel Ricciardo owns two pickup trucks: A Toyota Hilux, and a Ford F-150 Raptor. Fun fact: the Toyota Hilux was Daniel’s first car. He got it from his parents for his birthday. By his own account, he got a Hilux because it was a pretty slow pickup. So the Hilux is not the only pickup Ricciardo has left in his home country: he also has a Ford F-150 Raptor.

McLaren 675LT

Daniel Ricciardo is not only a McLaren driver in Formula 1, but also in everyday traffic. Namely, he owns a blue McLaren 675LT. LT in this name stands for LongTail. For a time, the 675-horsepower McLaren was the fastest car for sale at McLaren, until the McLaren 720S (and then the 765LT) came on the market.

McLaren 720S

In Australia, Daniel also has an extra special McLaren on display: a 720S Daniel Ricciardo edition. McLaren released this exclusive version – only three examples exist – only in Australia, in honor of Daniel Ricciardo and Lando Norris’ one-two victory at Monza in 2021. The three special vehicles feature Ricciardo’s race number – 3 – his signature and the flag of Australia. Furthermore, the body colors Papaya Spark and Burton Blue stand out. These are, of course, the colors used on the McLaren Formula One car.

Now you know what cars the Australian has in his garage. Wondering who sits on the couch next to Daniel at home? Read then: Heidi Berger: the girlfriend of Daniel Ricciardo
