Volkswagen Nivus
The Volkswagen Taigo has Brazilian origins, as the model was developed by the Brazilian branch of the Volkswagen group. At the beginning of 2020, the car entered the Brazilian market under the name Nivus. In 2021 the car made the crossing to Europe, but not literally. The European copies, which are therefore called Taigo, are produced here in Europe. In Spain, to be precise, where the aforementioned Polo and T-Cross are also produced.
Motors and drive
The Volkswagen Taigo is powered by well-known TSI engines, such as those found in the Polo, among others. The Taigo is only available with front-wheel drive, just like the Polo. A hybrid version has not yet been announced, although it is not inconceivable that it will follow at a later stage.
