BMW I3

BMW i3
Since 2011, BMW has carried the electric sub-brand i, with exclusively (almost) fully electric models. The first production model was the i3 introduced in 2013. The i3 is a compact four-seater hatchback, with 260 to 1,100 liters of luggage space. The car has a special, largely carbon fiber body. This is the first for a mass production car.

range extender
Initially, the BMW i3 was available in two basic versions: a fully electric variant and one with a petrol engine on board that serves as a range extender. This allowed the battery to be charged while driving. Handy, because when introduced, the fully electric range was still relatively limited.

face lift
At the end of this year, the car underwent a minor update, introducing a larger battery pack and also a new ‘sporty’ s version. The version with range extender, on the other hand, was discontinued shortly after the facelift.
