Brand-new Ferrari Roma in showroom destroyed after fall into elevator shaft (Photos)

Fuel leakage

The Palm Beach County Fire Department was called to a special accident last week. A new Ferrari Roma had fallen into an elevator shaft and was stuck. The fire department could not simply move the car. In fact, it was leaking gasoline. Therefore, the power of the entire building had to be cut off. Once the leak was plugged, firefighters were able to consider how to safely remove the car from the cramped space.

Directly to demolition

A towing company was called in to safely pull the sports car out of the elevator. Once the car was safely back on the showroom floor, the extent of the damage really became clear. The entire rear of the car was shattered and the roof was also badly damaged. Although the Ferrari has a hefty price tag, there seems little chance that anyone will refurbish it yet. He is still only good for parts. So this Ferrari goes straight to the scrapyard, with 0 kilometers on the odometer.

How then!

The accident happened while the car’s owner was taking his Ferrari to a third-floor parking garage, a Ferrari dealership employee wrote on Facebook.

“Scary day at the Ferrari dealership, but nobody got hurt and the fire department did a great job. When the car was about halfway out the elevator failed. The driver got out and the car held up the elevator, but eventually it gave way and the car pulled into the shaft.”
