In 1975, Volkswagen introduced the Polo as the smaller brother of the Golf. The car started out as a rebadge version of the Audi 50, which has since evolved into the A1. The Polo has now proven itself as a very popular B-segment car and the car is also high in the list of best-selling car models in our country.

Polo Saloon
There has always been a sedan version of the Polo, but today that version is no longer supplied in our country. Until recently, the Polo sedan was known as Vento, a name that was still on the sedan version of the Golf in the 1990s. The current sedan version listens to the name Virtus. Since 2016 there is also an extra short sedan version, the Ameo, specifically for the Indian market.
Engines and variants
Over the years, the Polo has been supplied with a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, ranging from 65 to 200 hp. Something for everyone. For the sporty driver, the Polo is also available as a GTI. Since the facelift in 2021, the engine range has been considerably reduced, with only petrol engines with 80 to 110 hp.
