Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept is a bit smaller than bZ4X
Beyond Zero
The Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept has the bZ label for a reason. The two letters stand for Beyond Zero, a strategy by Toyota to achieve carbon neutrality through the practical introduction of a portfolio of products with alternative fuel and zero-emission powertrain technologies. A diverse portfolio of electrified products will help Toyota achieve the global goal of carbon neutrality by 2050.
Battery-electric
The bZ Compact SUV Concept is designed as a fully battery-electric vehicle (BEV). The car was designed according to the new design approach “clean-vital. “The bZ Compact SUV Concept represents a zero-emission vehicle using sustainable, low-impact materials that also offers dynamic performance, industry-leading technology and stylish looks,” the manufacturer said.
Futuristic look
Toyota also says the following: “The futuristic look of the concept car is enhanced by its aerodynamic shape. With wheels placed as far to the corners as possible, the car is given an aggressive stance: this makes it look like it is moving even when standing still. The short overhangs and receding corners make it stand out as a vehicle with advanced technology, while a narrowed cabin design gives it an agile appearance and low drag.”
Interior Toyota bZ Compact SUV Concept
The interior of the bZ Compact SUV Concept stands out. In particular, the design team added several eco-friendly details, such as chairs made from plant-based and recycled materials, which fit nicely within the Beyond Zero theme. An in-car personal assistant connects the driver and passengers to the vehicle through audio and visual signals that move through the interior and respond to requests or commands from front or rear passengers.
In December, Toyota will release more information about the bZ Compact SUV Concept.
