This Turkish car is a hit in its home country and is coming to the Netherlands next year
Togg
If you’re on auto news, you’ve probably heard of Togg. The brand regularly sends news into the world about new models, technology and other things they are working on. The first model, the T10X, will soon hit the road in Turkey. The brand slammed open the order books for the home market on March 16, which were well filled within nine days. As many as 177,000 Turks placed an order. Remarkable, considering that there are a total of less than 177,000 EVs in all of Turkey.
T10X
At Togg, they are enormously pleased with the large volume of orders, but there is a problem: the brand cannot yet build 30,000 cars a year. To give everyone an equal chance to win a Togg, the brand organized a draw, which was broadcast over Turkish national television. 20,000 Turks were assigned a production slot for their car during the broadcast. The car has a starting price of 47,500 euros in its home country.
Specifications Togg T10X
Togg announced that the brand will sell the T10X in the Netherlands starting in 2024. With the car, the brand competes against the Volkswagen ID.4, Kia EV6 and Nissan Ariya, among others. Two battery variants are available: 52.4 kWh and 88.5kWh. With the smallest battery, the car kicks it 314 kilometers on a single charge; with the large package, the fun runs out after 523 kilometers. Charging occurs with up to 150 kW of charging power. For now, Togg equips the TX10 with a 218-hp electric motor on the rear axle. A version with two electric motors will come later. Pininfarina is responsible for the design.
