These are the most reliable Toyota used cars
Toyota has a great reputation when it comes to reliability. The precise and quality-oriented production method was even adopted by Porsche at the end of the last century and saved the sports car manufacturer from possible demise. Toyota has a wide range of models to choose from. If you have a
Toyota occasion
want to buy, here are five models that won’t let you down easily.
Toyota Aygo
During its lifetime (2005-2022), the Toyota Aygo was one of the most popular city cars on the market. That popularity was due not only to its appealing design, competitive price and decent equipment, but also to the Japanese car brand’s famous reliability.
Bodies such as the Consumer Association and ADAC (German counterpart of the ANWB) repeatedly proclaimed the Aygo the most reliable city car. This still makes it very interesting as a used car.
Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla is the best-selling car of all time for a reason. With more than 50 million sales (as of 2021), the compact family car has been a trusted choice in the C-segment for generations. The technology is rock solid and rarely disappoints you.
The Corolla disappeared from the Dutch market from 2010-2019, but has now returned in style. Again with a very diverse lineup, including hybrid engines. Alternatively, you could go for the Auris; this model briefly served as the Corolla’s replacement.
Toyota Land Cruiser
The Toyota Land Cruiser is among the largest and most robust models in the Japanese automaker’s lineup. Toyota’s reputation for outstanding reliability is due in part to this SUV.
Historically, the Land Cruiser has been virtually indestructible. It is not without reason that entire wars have been named after the off-road vehicle. They keep going no matter the circumstances. As Top Gear once proved: they can’t be broken, even if you try to drown them or throw them off a building.
Toyota Prius
It is to be expected that pioneering technology will face some teething problems. Yet the Toyota Prius, the very first mass-production hybrid, has long been known as a reliable car. Make no mistake: the Prius has been put to quite a test. The first generation appears in the late 1990s and such specimens are in excellent condition.
Toyota’s hybrid technology has only been refined over the years, making such electrified models non-negotiable. The Prius is a popular cab car because of its low fuel consumption and good reliability; they cover hundreds of thousands of miles effortlessly.
Toyota Yaris
The Toyota Yaris is also a solid, high-quality car. The compact hatchback has performed excellently in reliability studies for years and receives the highest number of stars (five) in Euro NCAP’s crash tests.
At the same time, it sits one level higher than the Aygo and you can count on more space and more complete equipment. With its attractive design and fuel-efficient engines, it has become a blockbuster in a relatively short time. More than 10 million have been sold since its debut in 1999, with more than half of them driving around Europe.
