The Tailor Made Ferrari 812 Competizione was commissioned by Ferrari North America and will go under the hammer at the Ferrari Gala to be held in New York City on Oct. 17. Ferrari North America is donating all proceeds from the auction to charity, namely education support projects.

Each idea originates on a yellow sheet of paper at Ferrari. That very thought was at the heart of putting together this 812 Competizione. The car is finished in a matte Giallo Tristrato paint, a reference to the yellow draft paper. Then the car also features “pen marks,” as a nod to the sketches Ferrari designers put on paper.

New form of alcantara

The interior is also special. A new generation of alcantara debuts in this model. The material is composed of 65 percent recycled polyester. The upholstery is embellished with design sketches embroidered directly onto it.
