Skoda Kamiq (2024): here’s what’s new! – AutoRAI TV
Subtle changes for Skoda Kamiq
The updated Kamiq underscores its SUV character with a more upright grille and diffusers integrated into the bumpers. The split headlight units have also changed: the upper light element is even flatter, while the lower units have actually grown. Subtle changes, in other words. The optional TOP LED Matrix headlights feature distinctive and hexagonal Matrix modules. The crystalline LED modules are reminiscent of sparkling ice cubes or gemstones.
Recycled plastics
Skoda is taking the use of recycled and natural materials to the next level. For example, the water tank under the windshield, the wheel arch trim, various interior trim materials, floor coverings and floor mats are made from recycled plastics.
Hemp in Skoda
Fibers from natural materials such as hemp and kenaf are incorporated into several trim panels and the structure of the headliner. Also nice is the introduction of the Virtual Pedal. In doing so, a foot movement under the rear bumper is sufficient to cause the tailgate to open.
Sport Chassis Control
The Skoda Kamiq is available with Sport Chassis Control. This offers a choice of two shock absorber settings. This lowers the Kamiq’s chassis by 10 mm.
Driver assistance systems
The Kamiq has several driving assistance systems. Included, for example, are Front Assist with pedestrian monitoring, Lane Assist, Traffic Sign Recognition and up to nine airbags.
Design Selections
The Skoda Kamiq is available in several Design Selections. Each Kamiq comes standard with an 8-inch (20.3 cm) digital instrument panel and a centrally located 8.25-inch Škoda Infotainment Display. It also comes as a Monte Carlo with black accents and handmade “carbon leather.
