Sacrilege? Tuner firmly tackles BMW M5 CS
BMW M5 CS
Tuners like Brabus, Novitec, and Techart show every time that things can never go fast enough. Another tuner called G-Power has tackled a BMW model that really didn’t need any more attention: the M5 CS. Nevertheless, the German tuning specialist went wild on the model and the result is the G5M CS Hurricane RR.
900 hp
Under the hood of the G-Power M5 CS lies a substantially tweaked V8 engine, which is good for 900 horsepower through larger turbos, new pistons and improved connecting rods. That’s 265 hp more than you get in a regular CS. Newton meters have been boosted from 750 Nm to a whopping 1,050 Nm. All this makes for a top speed of 340 km/h.
Carbon fiber parts
Converting an M5 CS to Hurricane variant costs about 119,000 euros. That, of course, does not include the car. For that, in addition to the outlandish power, you get some extra goodies in return, such as a lot of carbon fiber and orange 21-inch wheels. G-power also supplies a completely new exhaust system with their version of the M5 CS. We don’t know what that sounds like, but we suspect your neighbors will want to rebuild the G-Power BMW M5 CS, too, if you regularly start it early in the morning.
Who or what is G-Power?
Germany’s G-Power specializes in beautifying cars of the Mercedes-AMG, Lamborghini, Porsche and BMW brands. The brand began in 1971 with the BMW brand. Later, in 1986 the company began offering tuning kits for models of other brands. In 2005, carbon became incredibly hip and the brand also launched its own carbon components. G-Power is known for occasionally releasing striking cars, such as a BMW M5 Hurricane RR of the E60 generation. Thanks to a supercharged V10, it reached a top speed of 372 km/h.
