Royal Enfield comes with scrambler
The Scram 411 has an LS-410 engine that we know from the adventure model Royal Enfield Himalayan. The Harris Performance frame is also very similar. However, the Scram 411 is simpler and more puristic in structure and gear, as befits a scrambler.
Scrambler ‘roots’
After all, the scrambler is a type of motorcycle whose roots lie in the 1960s. Then motorcyclists in England converted their British machines to compete in off-road competitions. So everything that could be missed in the terrain was screwed off. The rims got studded tires and the exhaust went up for more ground clearance.
Upright sitting position
A scrambler is all about maneuverability and engine control. The seating position is upright and the weight should be as low as possible. These are exactly the things you see with the new Scram 411. It is a motorcycle for the city and for challenging rides on country roads, including off-road.
1 cylinder of 24.3 hp
The 411 cc air-cooled 1-cylinder engine delivers a maximum power of 24.3 hp at 6,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 32 Nm at 4,000-4,500 rpm. Controllability is aided by the suspension and suspension with a 41mm telescopic front fork and 190mm travel and a monoshock link system with 180mm rear travel. The 19-inch front wheel and 17-inch rear wheel with dual purpose tires provide sufficient grip and traction on asphalt, loose gravel or poor road surfaces.
Digital-Analog Dashboard
The saddle height of 795 mm makes the Scram 411 also suitable for smaller riders. The Scram 411 has a digital-analog dashboard that easily displays all essential information on a digital screen. The ‘old-school’ analog speedometer adds to the Scrambler styling. In addition, the Royal Enfield Tripper navigation is installed as standard on all versions of the Scram 411.
Different colors
The new Scram 411 is available in 2 variants and different color combinations. “Dark ‘Gun Grey’ shade tones with vibrant ‘highlight’ colors that give a nod to ‘street art’ culture”, as Royal Enfield describes it. There is a choice of colors Graphite Yellow, Graphite Red and Graphite Blue for the crankcase covers and the rims. The other version has a multi-colored tank and other original color designs, with a choice of White Flame and Silver Spirit.
Scram 411 coming in May 2022
