Renewed Peugeot e-208 gets 400 kilometers far

September 28, 2022

Compact EV with long range

The biggest problem with compact electric cars is not their size. You often buy them precisely because you are looking for a small, manageable car. No, the big problem is often the limited range. You are sometimes lucky if you get 200 kilometers on a full battery. Those who want a compact EV with a bit more range can now turn to Peugeot. In fact, they now have one in the showroom that reaches 400 kilometers.

Renewed

In fact, Peugeot has thoroughly redesigned the e-208. You won’t see this on the outside, as this is a technical upgrade. The brand has integrated the technology of the new Peugeot e-308 into the e-208. As a result, engine power increases by 15%, from 136 hp to 156 hp. The updated e-208 also handles its energy more economically, with average consumption reaching 12 kWh/100 km. This increases the range by 10.5% (+38 km), to about 400 km.

2019 vs. 2023

This is not the first time the French brand has given the e-208 a refresh and increased range. The model entered the market in 2019 with a range of 340 kilometers, but also underwent a comprehensive update in late 2021. This increased the WLTP range to 362 km, an increase of 22 km over the version launched in late 2019 so.

How fast can a Peugeot e-208 charge?

Charging the e-208 can be standard with 11 kW 3-phase, and at a fast charging station the car can handle up to 100 kW. This allows the battery to charge from 20% to 80% in less than 25 minutes. The updated Peugeot e-208 will enter the Dutch market during 2023.
