Design Kia Sorento 2024
Externally, the updated Kia Sorento 2024 has been given futuristic traits for a more premium look. The SUV features a new hood with Kia badge, vertical headlights, new daytime running lights, dynamic turn signals and a redesigned radiator grille with a 3D mesh pattern. The bumpers have also been modified. Notable accents in the bumper include the wide skid plate, updated fog lights and vertical air intake profile. At the rear, Kia places vertical light units. We also detect a restyled rear bumper with skid plate and black trim parts. The new automatic tailgate offers even more convenience by automatically closing the tailgate when the driver walks away from the car.
Ten colors
The Sorento will be available with a choice of ten colors, three of which are new: Volcanic Sand, Interstellar Grey (known from the EV6) and Cityscape Green (from the Niro).
Interior Kia Sorento 2024
In the interior, we see a narrow ambient lighting strip, with a choice of 64 colors. That ambient lighting, in addition to the dashboard, also appears in the newly designed gear knob and in the front doors. The Sorento also has a curved instrument cluster and a multimode touch screen. Other highlights include the black headliner, metal pedals and panoramic roof. The new front reclining seats provide additional comfort. The Driver Ergo Motion chair has with Aircell lumbar support and electrically adjustable cushions. A memory function is optional.
Kia talks about a faux leather steering wheel, but of course that is impossible. Otherwise, you have a particularly limp steering wheel in your hand. The steering wheel is finished with faux leather. In addition, the steering wheel has a heating function. Optionally, the steering wheel can be electrically adjusted in depth and height. Electrically adjustable, ventilated and heated front seats, along with heated seats in the second row, ensure maximum comfort for all occupants.
Integrated Dual Panoramic screens are also found in the interior, with a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with navigation and a 12.3-inch instrument panel for the driver. In addition, a 10-inch head-up display gives drivers basic information about the car and traffic without taking their eyes off the road.
Infotainment system
The infotainment system can be operated via the multimode touch screen and provides online navigation including Kia Connect, Live Services, Voice Recognition and Bluetooth. The climate control features fully automatic temperature control with two zones. The system is designed so that Kia can send software and map updates to the car over-the-air, eliminating the need to visit the dealership to do so.
Fingerprint recognition
The Sorento is also available with fingerprint recognition. This allows the driver to link the user profile and start the engine. It can also be used to activate valet mode, as an alternative to entering the PIN. In addition, the new Sorento features a wireless phone charger, six USB-C ports (two per seat row) and a premium audio system from Bose. A smart key provides even more convenience. In addition, the Digital Key 2.0 allows customers to use their smartphones as smart keys.
Increased focus on sustainability
With the updated Sorento, Kia introduces synthetic leather and recycled plastic (PET) for the seat upholstery, in the color Sage Green. In addition to Sage Green, two other optional interior designs are available for the Sorento: black leather with a new pattern and black Nappa leather including gray piping.
