New Mercedes E-Class (2023) will be a tech party!
MBUX Superscreen
You already cannot ignore it at a first glance at the photos of the interior of the 2023 Mercedes E-Class: the huge display screen that covers the entire width of the dashboard. The setup is reminiscent of the MBUX Hyperscreen from the EQS, but in the E-Class, the screen is called “MBUX Superscreen. The screens look spectacular and are almost seamlessly integrated into the dashboard. The digital instrument cluster in front of the driver’s nose is slightly further upright than the other screens, but doesn’t look as “tacked on” as some other brands. The MBUX Superscreen is a – no doubt costly – option. What the interior of the base version of the E-Class will look like will have to be revealed at the final unveiling.
TikTok, Zoom and Angry Birds
The MBUX Superscreen looks pretty impressive by itself, but the technology behind it is just as impressive. The system’s computer is completely new, according to Mercedes-Benz, and thanks to a 5G communication module, data connection in the car is lightning fast. Another notable novelty in the 2023 Mercedes E-Class is the selfie camera on top of the dashboard. With that camera you can participate in Zoom meetings, but you can also take TikTok movies with your car! We haven’t seen that before with any other car brand. Furthermore, the screen allows you to watch movies, play Angry Birds and install other third-party apps, among other things. So as time goes on, much more should be possible with the MBUX Superscreen.
Of course, the experience in an interior is not determined solely by what the screens can do. That is why the E-Class has a Burmester 4D audio system with Dolby Atmos technology and Active Ambient Lighting on board if desired. Furthermore, Mercedes is emphasizing artificial intelligence in the new E-Class. The car recognizes certain settings that are often used, such as turning on the seat heater at a certain temperature, and can then anticipate them.
