Mullen FIVE: what does this electric SUV have to offer?
Inspired by California
Mullen Automotive is based in Southern California. The company already makes electric vans in the form of the Campus, One, and Three. David Michery is the company’s CEO. “Our design team focused on two inspiring California themes for the overall design influence for the FIVE’s design: California Landscape and California Urban.”
Technical Data Mullen FIVE
The price of the Mullen FIVE starts at $55,000. It will be available in white, red, blue, gray, black and a sand color. The manufacturer is also already releasing technical information. For example, the model gets a 95 kWh battery. That results in a range of 325 miles, or 520 kilometers converted. The 0-96 time comes out to 3.2 seconds and the top speed is 250 km/h. Charging from 0 to 80 percent takes 21 minutes. In addition, the car can drive partially autonomously.
Interior with BMW components
Remarkably, the FIVE’s interior is made up of various BMW components, as shown in the images below – shared by David Michery. Among other things, the steering wheel and infotainment come from BMW’s shelves. Mullen does choose carbon trim on the steering wheel. It is possible that this is still a prototype. Whether the production model will also get BMW interior components is not yet known. There are other interior photos on Mullen’s website, without BMW influences.
Start of production
Production of the Mullen FIVE will begin at the time of writing in late 2025, with sales to customers in mid-2026. Mullen kicks off with the RS version, followed by the Mullen FIVE base and touring models. Production of the model takes place in Mishawaka. The company can deliver the car to your home if necessary.
