Is it a new Land Rover? No, it’s the new Hyundai Santa Fe!
Angular and powerful
Hyundai Motor has clearly taken an unconventional approach. The brand is evidently not playing it safe. Surely previous editions of the Hyundai Santa Fe were quite subdued in design. How different it is with this fifth generation. The car looks angular, powerful and even has features of a Land Rover. Still, it is a true Hyundai. The big advantage of all those sharp corners is extreme interior space and practicality. Figures on dimensions Hyundai is not yet giving, those won’t follow until August.
H-shaped details
The front end of the new Santa Fe features a high hood, H-shaped headlights and sharp fenders. The H-shaped headlights blend nicely with the H motif on the underside of the front. The H-shaped design elements reinterpret Hyundai’s “H” emblem.
Three rows of seats for Hyundai Santa Fe
Viewed from the side, the extended wheelbase stands out and a bold roofline. Hyundai also opted for sharply defined wheel arches, a shorter front overhang and 21-inch wheels. In the interior, the new Hyundai Santa Fe has a second and third row of seats. Both rows of seats fold down to create a sea of space. The pictures speak for themselves. The dashboard design looks just like the car itself: sleek. The H-profiles recur here as well, including in the air vents. Notable features include the Panoramic Curved Display and the 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.
Durable materials
The new SUV also incorporates a number of sustainable materials. The suede headliner, floor mats and backrests in the second and third rows of seats are made from recycled plastic, while the crash pad and door trim are made from eco-friendly synthetic leather.
