Honda ZR-V bridges gap between HR-V and CR-V
Aimed at image-conscious buyers…
The Honda ZR-V is aimed at young, image-conscious buyers looking for a stylish, powerful and fun car, according to the Japanese. Beneath the sleek exterior lies Honda’s familiar e:HEV hybrid powertrain. This powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder Atkinson cycle direct-injection e:HEV engine, optimized for the ZR-V, works with two engines for sporty acceleration.
For the helmsman or woman
It should, according to Honda, be primarily an SUV for the helmsman or woman. Steering is effortless but rewarding, according to the manufacturer, thanks to sophisticated feedback control logic and low-friction components, while the multi-link rear suspension and optimized bushings ensure a comfortable ride.
Sporty appearance
The SUV looks sporty. Features include sleek headlights, a gloss black grille and slim horizontal taillights integrated into the tailgate. No shortage of space, according to Honda. The Honda ZR-V has a host of trays and storage compartments, along with a rear cargo area with a cargo divider wall, a retractable parcel shelf and under-floor storage. Luggage space measures a maximum of 1,291 liters. Honda further applies several charging stations and the latest HMI technology, as well as a large 9-inch touchscreen in the center of the upper dashboard panel.
Technical details will be announced by Honda later this year, as well as prices.
