Here’s what you need to do to reserve a Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition
Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition charging
Hyundai is almost impossible to tame. Particularly in the field of electric driving, the South Koreans are outpacing even Germany in some respects. With smart charging capabilities, for example. Like the IONIQ 5, the new Hyundai IONIQ 6 features the vehicle-to-load (V2L) feature that allows you to charge electrical devices by plugging them into the car’s charging port. The Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition also has this feature. With a 350 kW charger , you will have 351 km of range in just 15 minutes.
Best streamlined Hyundai of all time
In terms of aerodynamics, the new Hyundai IONIQ 6 embarrasses the German competition, as this is the best streamlined Hyundai of all time! The Hyundai notes an air resistance coefficient of 0.21 cW. That’s a better score than the Mercedes-Benz EQE (0.22 cW).
Four colors
Hyundai, meanwhile, is getting ready for the Dutch market launch of the new all-electric IONIQ 6. The brand kicks off with a so-called First Edition of which a total of 2,500 units are coming to Europe. The Netherlands will get 250. Four colors are available. Each color has a separate print run.
- Biophilic Blue Metallic: 100 copies
- Serenity White Pearl: 25 copies
- Nocturne Gray Metallic: 75 copies
- Gravity Gold Matte: 50 copies
Virtually all options
The First Edition is available from €62,895 and features almost all options. The version has a 77.4 kWh battery pack, all-wheel drive and two electric motors, good for 325 hp of power and 605 Nm of torque. In this configuration with 20-inch alloy wheels, the driving range is up to 519 kilometers (WLTP).
Features for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 First Edition include special First Edition floor mats with gray Tartan accents, leather/fabric gray Tartan upholstery, a black interior with black headliner, Hyundai logos in black aluminum on the front and rear, and various glossy black exterior details.
Reserve copies in advance sales
Demand for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 is high. Fortunately, we know what you need to do to reserve a copy. Or rather, to increase your chances of owning one. In fact, there is a pre-sale.
You need to do this
The only way to get one of the 250 IONIQ 6 First Editions starting Nov. 9 is through Hyundai Cl!ck to Buy. For that, you need a Hyundai Account. So it’s smart to create an account in advance to save time later, because gone is really gone. Both private buyers and individual lease drivers (private and business) can order an IONIQ 6 First Edition.
Once pre-sales begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 9, a Cl!ck to Buy button will appear on this page. Select the desired color and then choose your preferred or nearest Hyundai dealer.
After you submit your application through Cl!ck to Buy, you will be told within minutes whether a car has been reserved for you or if you are on the waiting list. Let’s hope it’s the former. In this case, the chosen dealer will send a purchase offer within a few days. The offer is valid for 10 days.
Private buyers can complete their contract entirely online through Cl!ck to Buy or in the showroom of their chosen Hyundai dealer. For lease drivers, a modified process follows due to leasing company involvement.
