Ferrari EV to hit the market next year with a starting price of at least 500,000 euros
Electric Ferrari
Whereas at Lamborghini you have to wait at least another four years for an electric supercar, at Ferrari you can knock on the door for a sporty EV as early as next year, according to Reuters news agency. Reuters can also already reveal the price tag of the electric Ferrari: at least 500,000 euros. Details about the model are otherwise unknown. However, it does seem that the Italians have a taste for it; a second EV is already in development, according to the anonymous Reuters source.
Maranello
The electric Ferrari will roll off the assembly line in 2025 at a new plant in Maranello, which the prestigious automaker is about to open. This new plant will increase Ferrari’s production capacity by as much as a third. Last year, the brand built 14,000 cars. With the new plant, this number should rise to about 20,000. The new plant in Maranello will open its doors for the first time on Friday and is expected to be fully operational within three to four months. In April, Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna told shareholders that the “state-of-the-art plant will provide Ferrari with the flexibility and technical capacity we need to meet our needs for years to come.”
