Fast & Furious gearbox history in FAST X – TRAILER

February 13, 2023

Automata dominate in FAST X

So the Fast & Furious transmission with 18 gears may be retired. That may be just as well, because accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h was a labor-intensive task with this gearbox, let alone downshifting. In FAST X they are mostly the automatons that dominate.

Tenth Fast & Furious movie

FAST X is the tenth film in the Fast & Furious saga. The story again meets all the requirements of a Fast & Furious movie. During many missions and against all odds, Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family outsmarted every enemy in their path. Now they confront the most deadly opponent they have ever faced. A terrifying threat emerges from the shadows of the past, fueled by revenge. The threat is determined to destroy everything and everyone Dom loves forever.

The story of FAST X

In 2011’s Fast Five, Dom and his team took down nefarious Brazilian drug lord Hernan Reyes. What they didn’t know was that Reyes’ son named Dante (played by Aquaman‘s Jason Momoa) witnessed it and has spent the past 12 years devising a plan to make Dom pay the ultimate price. Everything changes when Dom discovers that his own 8-year-old son (Leo Abelo Perry) is the ultimate target of Dante’s revenge.

Locations

FAST X is set in parts of Los Angeles, Rome, Brazil, London, Portugal and even Antarctica. The first trailer looks spectacular, but as you notice: the Fast & Furious transmission with 18 gears is a thing of the past. Fast X will be available in theaters starting May 18, 2023.
