Dacia Manifesto is a Swiss army knife on wheels
Concept car
Cool thing huh! But we regret to disappoint you immediately. This Dacia Manifesto is not a concept for a future model. So Dacia will not soon introduce a lightweight off-roader with insane looks. The name of the car already gives away what is the purpose of the Manifesto: it gives an idea of the direction the company wants to take in the future in terms of design and features.
Outdoor Activities
According to the brand, their customers love nature and outdoor activities. So an eco-friendly off-roader is exactly what Dacia customers are looking for. The Dacia Manifesto Concept, then, is just that. The model requires few raw materials. You can see that immediately, for it does not even have doors, windows ánd a windshield is missing. This will allow drivers to enjoy nature more, according to the brand.
Compact
In the photos it appears quite large, but the Manifesto is quite compact in real life: it is about 3.6 meters long, 1.85 meters wide and 1.55 meters high. The body panels are made of a special plastic called Starkle. That is made of recycled polypropylene. The interior uses many natural materials, including cork, which covers almost the entire dashboard. Nice and sustainable, in other words.
Gadgets
The Manifesto is a kind of driving Swiss army knife. Thus, as in some versions of current Dacia models, you can use your smartphone as an infotainment system. The headlight – there is only one present – of the Manifesto is removable and can be converted into a flashlight. Then there is YouClip, an innovation that will be applied to future models. It is a system that allows you to attach convenient and modular accessories, such as a cup or phone holder, very easily.
Waterproof
The car is completely waterproof, so you can hose down the interior with a garden hose, so to speak. You will then have to remove the seat cover for cleaning. You can do this very easily, and you can immediately use the seat cover as a sleeping bag. Since the car has no windshield, we would put on the seat cover right away.
Roof rails
As on many current Dacia models, such as the Jogger, the concept car features modular roof rails. You can lay those across so you can install a roof box or put a couple of bikes on the roof. A removable battery that can be used as a portable power source for outdoor activities is also provided.
