Crashed half a million Lamborghini Aventador stops traffic on the A28
Lamborghini crashes on A28 near Rouveen
The Lamborghini, which can best be described as ‘expensive’, is a 2019 Aventador S. In the back of the Italian supercar of more than half a million euros is a 740 hp strong 6.5-liter V12. Not everyone can handle that much power, it turns out. The two-seater can reach 100 km/h in just 2.9 seconds and its top speed is 350 km/h.

car meeting
The once shiny white Lamborghini was on its way to the DAY1 World of Cars event at the TT circuit of Assen. He never arrived there, because things went wrong on the A28 between Zwolle and Meppel. The car collided with the guardrail at very high speed, after which it came to a stop in the middle of the highway after a considerable number of pirouettes. The Aventador is almost unrecognizable, but there were no injuries in the single-vehicle traffic accident. The two occupants were checked by paramedics and did not require hospitalisation.
Traffic jams
According to Rijkswaterstaat, the crash barrier in the central reservation has been severely damaged. The highway to Zwolle has now been released. Traffic going the other way – towards Hoogeveen – will probably have to make a detour until 4 p.m. In the video below you can see that there is little left of the Lamborghini.
