Kia’s contribution is called Stonic and has been on the market since 2017. The name is a combination of the words ‘speedy’ and ‘tonic’. The car shares its base with the Rio, among others. It also has a lot in common with the Hyundai Kona, although both cars do not share their platform.

Another trend that Kia is responding to with the Stonic is that of personalization. The Stonic can be decorated with different colors for, among other things, the roof and body, with which a total of about twenty combinations can be made. The chance that you will encounter an identical copy on the way is therefore not so great.

GT-Line

The GT-Line is a version that Kia only carries on the models that it finds sporty enough for it. The Stonic is apparently such a car, because it is also available with the sporty decoration package. For 2020, it did not undergo a real facelift, but it did undergo a model year update. As a result, new colors became available and all engines received mild hybrid technology. The diesel engine also disappeared.
