The arrival of the BMW 2 Series Active Tourer in 2014 caused a small culture shock. A driver’s brand like BMW comes with an MPV and the model was also front-wheel drive… That is the first time in the history of the brand. Five-seater or seven-seater
The five-seat Active Tourer was reinforced in 2015 by the Gran Tourer. A slightly extended version, which therefore offers space for seven passengers. On the Active and Gran Tourer, the engines are mounted transversely, whereas they are mounted longitudinally on almost all other BMW models.
second generation
Despite the generally declining demand for MPVs, BMW simply introduced a second-generation 2 Series Active Tourer at the end of 2021/beginning of 2022. Especially for a seven-seater, the customer nowadays prefers an SUV model.more Bmw 2 series gran tourer.
