Bizarre images: Dutchman and Belgian crash Ferrari while on vacation
Driving too fast
The pace in the residential area in question was far too fast. There is a 50 km/h speed limit, but the Ferraris were clearly driving faster. The faster pace made it difficult for the duo to assess a left-angle turn.
Ferrari 296 GTB and Ferrari F12berlinetta
The result? First, the Ferrari 296 GTB is launched into the air by the height difference of the berm, only to crash into a fence. In the process, much of the ground “explodes. The driver of the Ferrari F12berlinetta was close on the heels of the 296 GTB, which also prevented him from braking in time. This Ferrari also chose the skies after that.
Parts in swimming pool
A surveillance camera from the house of the fence in question captured the crash. The accident happened around noon. Some parts of the car and parts of the fence end up in the pool. Two people were injured and taken to the hospital in Ancona.
Fire Department
The Italian news agency Ansa reports that the drivers are ages 50 and 54 and have Dutch and Belgian nationalities. The 296 GTB has a Dutch license plate, while the F12berlinetta has an Italian license plate. The fire department had to turn out for the crash, as the F12berlinetta caught fire shortly after the accident. Almost nothing is left of the car. The 296 GTB still seems eligible for repair.
