Audi RS3 clocks Nürburgring lap record, in its segment
Audi RS3 with proven five-cylinder
Power for the updated Audi RS3 continues to be provided by Audi’s legendary five-cylinder engine with 294 kW (400 hp) and 500 Nm of torque. Combined with the (optional) Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R semi-slick tires, a 19-inch ceramic braking system, the RS sports suspension with adaptive damper control and optimized chassis tuning, the 2.5 TFSI engine now propels the improved Audi RS3 even sharper and faster through corners. All that, of course, is accompanied by a deep rumble that comes from the 1-2-4-5-3 firing order, a signature feature of Audi’s five-cylinder engines.
Improved dynamics
At the basis of the further improved driving dynamics is an interplay between the torque splitter – with fully variable torque distribution between the rear wheels – the electronic stability control, brake torque vectoring and the optional adaptive dampers of the optimized RS sports suspension.
Available to order from August
Enthusiasts can order the updated Audi RS3 from Audi dealerships starting in late August, where it will actually be on display in showrooms starting in October.
