La semaine derni\u00e8re, vous avez d\u00e9couvert une belle Lincoln<\/a> dans cette rubrique. \u00c0 l’\u00e9poque, nous avions mentionn\u00e9 que nous avions d\u00e9couvert un nombre particuli\u00e8rement \u00e9lev\u00e9 de spots dans la petite ville d’Elburg. L’un de ces autres spots est cette VAZ-2103 Zhiguli. La voiture est immatricul\u00e9e en Lettonie. C’est un long trajet pour une si petite voiture. Pour autant que nous le sachions, il n’est pas possible de v\u00e9rifier les plaques d’immatriculation lettones, et nous ne savons donc pas de quelle ann\u00e9e date cette voiture. <\/p>\n

Le VAZ-2103 Zhiguli<\/strong><\/h2>\n

La VAZ-2103 Zhiguli, ou VAZ-2103 en abr\u00e9g\u00e9, est l’une des nombreuses variantes russes fabriqu\u00e9es au fil des ans sur la base de la Fiat 124. La 2103 est arriv\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 en 1972 et a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e conjointement par Fiat et VAZ. VAZ a \u00e9galement vendu la voiture en dehors de l’Union sovi\u00e9tique, sous le nom de Lada 1500. Avec sa face avant carr\u00e9e, elle \u00e9tait beaucoup plus moderne que sa devanci\u00e8re 2101<\/a> (qui, soit dit en passant, est rest\u00e9e en production en tant qu’alternative plus \u00e9conomique). Le quatre cylindres de 1,5 litre de 55 kW (75 ch) constituait \u00e9galement un progr\u00e8s. <\/p>\n

Dans le contexte du march\u00e9 sovi\u00e9tique, la VAZ-2103 \u00e9tait une voiture assez luxueuse, surtout par rapport au mod\u00e8le pr\u00e9c\u00e9dent. Le tableau de bord et le volant \u00e9taient nouveaux, certaines parties de l’habitacle \u00e9taient recouvertes de tissu (du moins sur la version d’exportation) et le tableau de bord comportait m\u00eame des incrustations en imitation de bois. Des \u00e9l\u00e9ments tels qu’un tachym\u00e8tre, un indicateur de pression d’huile et une horloge sur le tableau de bord n’\u00e9taient pas non plus monnaie courante en Union sovi\u00e9tique \u00e0 l’\u00e9poque. <\/p>\n

VAZ-2103 contre Fiat 124<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Bien que la VAZ-2103 soit \u00e9troitement li\u00e9e \u00e0 la Fiat 124, elle s’en distingue par plusieurs diff\u00e9rences. Principalement pour que la VAZ puisse mieux r\u00e9sister \u00e0 des conditions plus difficiles, comme le froid sib\u00e9rien. Ainsi, la VAZ pouvait toujours \u00eatre d\u00e9marr\u00e9e \u00e0 l’aide d’une bonne vieille manivelle si la batterie tombait en panne. La VAZ est \u00e9galement \u00e9quip\u00e9e d’une pompe \u00e0 essence suppl\u00e9mentaire, d’une suspension renforc\u00e9e et d’une meilleure isolation. Enfin, la carrosserie de la VAZ a m\u00eame \u00e9t\u00e9 fabriqu\u00e9e en acier plus \u00e9pais. <\/p>\n

VAZ a \u00e9t\u00e9 autoris\u00e9 \u00e0 utiliser la technologie Fiat sous licence. L’une des conditions \u00e9tait que la VAZ ne soit pas vendue dans les pays o\u00f9 Fiat fournissait la 124. Lorsque cette production a pris fin en 1974, la VAZ a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 vendue en Occident sous la marque Lada. <\/p>\n

Variantes et suivi du VAZ-2103<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Contrairement \u00e0 la VAZ-2101, plus \u00e9conomique, la VAZ-2103 n’est propos\u00e9e qu’en berline quatre portes. D\u00e8s 1973, la gamme a \u00e9t\u00e9 compl\u00e9t\u00e9e par un moteur de 1,2 litre (version export : Lada 1200) et en 1977 par un moteur de 1,3 litre (version export : Lada 1300). La production de la VAZ-2103 s’est poursuivie jusqu’en 1984, mais d\u00e8s 1980, un successeur \u00e9tait pr\u00eat sous la forme de la VAZ-2105. Nous la connaissons sous le nom de Lada 2105, bien qu’elle ait \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 livr\u00e9e en Europe occidentale sous les noms de Riva et Nova. <\/p>\n
