Tolman Motorsport<\/a>, bas\u00e9 au Royaume-Uni, a \u00e9t\u00e9 fond\u00e9 en 2007 par Christopher Tolman, apr\u00e8s avoir travaill\u00e9 comme ing\u00e9nieur\/m\u00e9canicien dans des \u00e9quipes de course pendant 12 ans. L’entreprise s’est consid\u00e9rablement d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e depuis sa cr\u00e9ation : elle emploie aujourd’hui 10 personnes en permanence. Ce sont tous des professionnels qui, comme Tolman, viennent du monde du sport automobile. L’entreprise divise ses activit\u00e9s en trois d\u00e9partements : Ing\u00e9nierie, sport automobile et historique.<\/p>\nSeize soupapes<\/h2>\n
La Peugeot 205 GTI de Tolman Motorsport a conserv\u00e9 son propre bloc moteur, mais quelques modifications ont \u00e9t\u00e9 apport\u00e9es. Entre autres choses, le bloc a re\u00e7u un nouveau calculateur de la marque Motec. Une t\u00eate diff\u00e9rente a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 pos\u00e9e sur le bloc moteur, avec deux fois plus de soupapes. En effet, avant les mises \u00e0 jour, la 205 avait huit soupapes. Maintenant, il y en a 16. Ainsi, cette bicorps de moins de 1 000 kilos peut d\u00e9velopper plus de 200 ch aux roues avant.<\/p>\n

Chez Tolman Motorsport, on consacre beaucoup de temps \u00e0 la Peugeot 205 GTI. Le personnel de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 britannique consacre un total d’environ 700 heures \u00e0 ces mises \u00e0 niveau. Le moteur n’est pas le seul \u00e0 \u00eatre am\u00e9lior\u00e9, d’ailleurs. La classique fran\u00e7aise re\u00e7oit \u00e9galement un \u00e9chappement en acier inoxydable, un diff\u00e9rentiel \u00e0 glissement limit\u00e9 et de meilleurs freins. Les tachym\u00e8tres \u00e0 l’ancienne seront \u00e9galement remplac\u00e9s par des \u00e9crans num\u00e9riques de Motec. <\/p>\n
Bon \u00e0 savoir : toutes ces mises \u00e0 niveau peuvent \u00eatre effectu\u00e9es \u00e0 votre gr\u00e9. Le train d’atterrissage a \u00e9galement \u00e9t\u00e9 revu en profondeur. De nouveaux amortisseurs sont par exemple mont\u00e9s pour am\u00e9liorer le comportement routier de la 205 GTI. Les feux d’origine seront \u00e9galement remplac\u00e9s par des feux LED si n\u00e9cessaire.
