Hasta ahora, el Century era un modelo premium de Toyota, m\u00e1s recientemente se convirti\u00f3 en una familia de modelos y ahora se ha rebautizado como marca de lujo independiente. \u00abPero espera un momento\u00bb, te oigo pensar, \u00ab\u00bfno era Lexus antes de eso?\u00bb. Cierto, pero Lexus se dirige principalmente a marcas como BMW, Audi y Mercedes-Benz. Century, en cambio, va un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1. Es la respuesta japonesa a Rolls-Royce, Bentley y Maybach.     <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/CENTURY_001-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211642\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sesenta capas<\/h2>\n<p>El Century ha sido el s\u00edmbolo del prestigio en Jap\u00f3n durante d\u00e9cadas, un coche en el que se transportan emperadores, primeros ministros y capitanes de la industria japonesa. Desde 2023, tambi\u00e9n existe un <g id=\"gid_0\">Century SUV<\/g>, pero ahora Toyota va un paso m\u00e1s all\u00e1 con un coup\u00e9. El modelo parece un fastback de proporciones imponentes, con un cap\u00f3 infinitamente largo y una carrocer\u00eda que, seg\u00fan Toyota, consta de m\u00e1s de sesenta capas de pintura naranja: artesan\u00eda japonesa en estado puro.  <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"641\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/10\/toyota-century-coupe-concept-3-1140x641.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-211643\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">S\u00f3lo tres sillas<\/h2>\n<p>Por dentro, el habit\u00e1culo es al menos igual de especial. El Century Coup\u00e9 s\u00f3lo tiene tres asientos: uno delante y dos detr\u00e1s. El asiento del pasajero delantero se omite para facilitar a\u00fan m\u00e1s el acceso a la parte trasera, una sutil insinuaci\u00f3n de que este coche est\u00e1 pensado para los que quieren ser conducidos, no necesariamente para los que se conducen a s\u00ed mismos. Presumiblemente ser\u00e1 un tren motriz electrificado, posiblemente una variante del V6 h\u00edbrido enchufable del SUV Century. Un regreso del V12 parece descartado. Seg\u00fan Akio Toyoda, presidente de Toyota, el nuevo Century debe \u00abllevar el esp\u00edritu y el orgullo de Jap\u00f3n al mundo\u00bb. As\u00ed que el coup\u00e9 no es un coche m\u00e1s, sino una declaraci\u00f3n.
