El RAV4 EV es una versi\u00f3n totalmente el\u00e9ctrica del popular SUV RAV4, sin emisiones locales. El primer prototipo del RAV EV gan\u00f3 el Rally Escandinavo de Coches El\u00e9ctricos en agosto de 1995. En diciembre de 1996, Toyota present\u00f3 la primera generaci\u00f3n del RAV4 EV. Esta primera generaci\u00f3n s\u00f3lo se alquil\u00f3 o rent\u00f3 entre 1997 y 2003.
