Para competir en esta categor\u00eda, los fabricantes de autom\u00f3viles ten\u00edan que construir un n\u00famero limitado de coches de producci\u00f3n para homologarlos. El Lancia 037 fue la respuesta de Lancia a este desaf\u00edo. El coche se basaba en el Lancia Beta Montecarlo, un peque\u00f1o deportivo con motor central fabricado entre 1975 y 1981.<\/p>\n<h2>\u00bfPor qu\u00e9 tuvo tanto \u00e9xito el Lancia 037?<\/h2>\n<p>El Lancia 037 incorporaba una serie de tecnolog\u00edas innovadoras, como un doble \u00e1rbol de levas, cuatro v\u00e1lvulas por cilindro y un sistema de inyecci\u00f3n mec\u00e1nica. El coche tambi\u00e9n ten\u00eda tracci\u00f3n trasera y una caja de cambios de cinco velocidades. Una de las caracter\u00edsticas m\u00e1s impresionantes del Lancia 037 era su avanzado sistema de suspensi\u00f3n, que consist\u00eda en una suspensi\u00f3n especial y un muelle central que mejoraba la estabilidad del coche a altas velocidades. De hecho, el coche contaba con tracci\u00f3n trasera y un motor de cuatro cilindros y 2,0 litros que rend\u00eda hasta 205 CV. Otras especificaciones del Lancia 037 inclu\u00edan un peso de 980 kg, una velocidad m\u00e1xima de unos 220 km\/h y una aceleraci\u00f3n de 0 a 100 km\/h en unos 6,5 segundos.
