Yes! Skoda is finally going to build an electric station!

September 9, 2025

Please be patient

Skoda markets one electric crossover after another – with success – but most Dutch people probably still think of the brand primarily in terms of practical estate cars, such as the Octavia Combi and Superb Combi. An electric estate car from Skoda is the obvious choice. It is certainly coming, although it still requires some patience. The Vision O is a foretaste of that electric estate – but it won’t be in the showroom for about five years. Just a little more patience …

From the inside out.

The Vision O is the first Skoda to be designed literally from the interior. According to the Czechs, everything is about the occupants’ experience. That’s why you see a minimalist interior, clean lines and a mountain of practical gadgets. Think a portable speaker for a picnic in the park or an integrated refrigerator for on the go. Luggage space? More than 650 liters.

Horizon Display

Notable in the interior is the Horizon Display. Both driver and passenger get their own adjustable screen for information and entertainment. The familiar voice assistant Laura is smarter than ever thanks to AI and can even give proactive tips. Furthermore, the ambient lighting – called Bio-Adaptive Lighting – automatically adjusts to outdoor surroundings.

Modern Solid in station wagon form

Externally, the Vision O shows where Skoda wants to go in the coming years. The new Tech-loop front looks robust, but at the same time it was designed with aerodynamics in mind. After all, less drag means more mileage from the battery. The lines are clean and simple, with no unnecessary frills. The result: a combo that looks both tough and efficient.

Outlook

The Vision O is still a concept for now, but the message is clear: the combi also has an important role in the future. The production model will not appear until the next decade, on a new Volkswagen Group platform.
