XPENG P7+: A smart electric car that learns your driving style

October 17, 2024

What makes the P7+ so special?

The P7+ does more than get you from A to B. It is equipped, according to Xpeng, with smart technology that thinks with you on the road. The car adapts to your driving habits and remembers your preferences. The P7+ features the “Hawkeye Visual Solution” system, which uses cameras and sensors to provide detailed images of its surroundings. For example, the car recognizes traffic signs and takes into account other road users.

Fast charging and economical driving

Xpeng’s P7+ is equipped with an 800V charging system, which should ensure faster charging times. Energy consumption is around 11.6 kWh per 100 kilometers, which is remarkably low for an EV of this size. Furthermore, the car offers a spacious interior; with the rear seats folded down, there is room for about 33 carry-on luggage cases says Xpeng. We didn’t have enough suitcases with us in Paris to test that, but we believe it immediately.

Xpeng bets on Europe

Xpeng has been selling cars in Europe since 2021. The brand operates in several European countries, including the Netherlands, Germany, Norway and France. They want to bring their models to even more countries, with the goal of operating in 65 markets by 2025. The brand is looking beyond road cars. During the Paris show, they showed their flying car, the AEROHT X2, to the public. This mega drone even caught the attention of French President Emmanuel Macron.

Expansion in Europe

XPeng was founded in 2014 and hails from China. The brand focuses exclusively on smart electric vehicles. They have also been operating in Europe for years. In addition to presence in the Netherlands, XPeng also operates in Norway, Sweden, Finland, Denmark, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, France, Spain and Portugal. More countries will follow soon.

XPeng currently supplies the sporty XPeng P7 sedan, the flagship XPeng G9 SUV and the XPeng G6 Coupe SUV. The brand also collaborates with the Volkswagen Group to develop advanced electric vehicles and software.
