One delivers 37 kQW (50 hp), the other acts as a high-voltage starter motor and generator. System output is 114 kW (155 hp) with 170 Nm of torque. Energy is stored in a 1.4 kWh lithium-ion battery (230V).

Smooth cooperation

On paper that sounds technical, in practice you mainly notice that the Jogger always starts electrically and drives in city traffic a large part of the time without the intervention of the gasoline engine. According to Dacia, that can be up to 80 percent of the time. The powertrain is mated to an electrified automatic transmission with four gears for the gasoline engine and two for electric driving. There is no clutch, so the components work together seamlessly.

You notice this immediately when pulling away. The Jogger takes off quietly and smoothly. In heavy city traffic, this feels relaxed. The driveline reacts predictably and without jolting. The interaction between gasoline and electric motor is usually imperceptible. Especially during calm acceleration and constant speeds, there is a pleasant tranquility on board.

Those who press the accelerator pedal deeply notice that the four-cylinder makes itself heard emphatically. This is no surprise in this class, but it does contrast with the silence during normal use. The Jogger is no sprint wonder, but in daily traffic it comes along smoothly. For families driving mostly in and around town, this is probably the most logical powertrain within the range. Expect average fuel economy of about 1:18 to 1:20.

Cheapest hybrid estate in the Netherlands! – DACIA JOGGER HYBRID (2026) – AutoRAI TV

Comfort beyond expectations

The Jogger sits on the Renault-Nissan alliance’s CMF-B platform, which we also know from the Sandero and Clio, among others. Yet the Jogger feels more mature than its technical base suggests. The suspension effectively filters out bumps and the car rides more comfortably than you would expect based on its price position.

Bumps, bad asphalt and clinker roads are handled without much agitation. At higher speeds, the car remains stable, although in side winds you notice that the relatively high body is susceptible to outside influences. The steering is light and easy to operate, without pronounced sporty ambitions. That suits the car’s character. The hybrid powertrain adds to the feeling of comfort. The electric assistance provides smooth acceleration and prevents the gasoline engine from constantly revving.

Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155 (2026)

Interior space, lots of interior space!

Those who buy the DaciaJogger rarely do so because of its design or performance. The main reason is space, and on that front this Dacia does not disappoint. Both as a five-seater and a seven-seater, it offers exceptional space. The luggage space in particular is impressively large. With five seats in use, you have a cargo space you would rather expect in a higher class.

It is also spacious in the second row of seats. There is, however, a major point of concern with the Hybrid 155. Because of the placement of the hybrid battery just above the rear axle, you sit noticeably higher in the back than in the front. You look over the front seats, so to speak. This gives a spacious feeling, but for taller occupants it can mean a less relaxed seating position. It is something to experience for yourself beforehand.

The third row of seats – if present – remains mainly suitable for children or shorter trips. This is not a criticism, but a reality within this segment. The Jogger’s strength lies in its flexibility. Folding down seats, shifting and combining them is easy. Thus it remains true to its image as a practical all-rounder. One practical note: the tailgate has sharp points. Whoever hurriedly loads or unloads can bump into it.

Interior Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155 (2026)

Interior Dacia Jogger

The interior of the updated Jogger looks mature. Dacia has clearly made strides in terms of finish and use of materials. No soft plastics on every inch, but robust materials that can take a beating. The whole thing feels thoughtful and solid.

The ergonomics are uncluttered. Buttons and screens are where you expect them to be. The Hybrid 155 features the new E-Shifter, which fits comfortably in the hand and works intuitively. Depending on the trim level, there is a choice of multimedia systems. The 10-inch central touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provides modern connectivity. The 7-inch digital dashboard display clearly shows the most important information.

Dacia sticks to a simple design, without unnecessary frills. That suits the car’s character. Everything you expect in a modern family car – from air conditioning to driving assistance systems – is available, depending on the trim chosen.

Driving Pack

New features include the Driving Pack with features such as automatic high beam, a multi-view camera and power folding door mirrors. In addition, the Jogger has several driving assistance systems, including an automatic emergency braking system and fatigue recognition. The “My Safety” button allows drivers to quickly select their preferred settings.

The YouClip system, which allows accessories to be attached at fixed points in the interior, underlines the practical nature of the car. These are small details that prove to be of added value in everyday use.

design

In its latest styling, the Jogger features the recognizable Dacia light signature with inverted T-shaped LED elements. The grille and headlights are visually unified, while the taillights continue into the rear window. It gives the car a more modern look without losing its functional character. Notable are the protective parts around wheel arches and bodywork, done in Starkle®. This material contains recycled plastic and is insensitive to scratches. The speckled appearance gives the Jogger a robust look without appearing forced. New colors, such as Sandstone, and different rim designs offer some personalization. Yet the design remains primarily functional. Above all, the Jogger aims to be practical, not fashionable.

Positioning and price

Dacia is known for its competitive pricing. At the bottom line, the Jogger Hybrid 155 offers a lot of car for its money. At the same time, it is difficult to label it as “cheap” anymore. The general price trend in the automotive world has also reached Dacia. New cars have simply become more expensive.

Still, the Jogger remains attractively priced within its segment, especially considering the combination of space, hybrid technology and standard equipment. For those seeking maximum fuel efficiency at low cost, there is also the Eco-G 120 with LPG and optional automatic transmission. That version has a starting price of about 25,000 euros. For the Hybrid 155, you pay a minimum of 30,600 euros.

Interestingly, the Jogger was the second best-selling car in the European C-segment (excluding SUVs) in 2024. This underscores that there is still demand for rational family cars without excess.

Conclusion review Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155

The Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155 is not a car that tries to impress with luxury or performance. Its strength lies in space, ease of use and a thoughtful hybrid powertrain that brings peace of mind to everyday driving. The combination of smooth electric assist and comfortable tuning makes it a pleasant travel companion for families. There are areas of concern, such as the higher seating position in the rear due to battery placement and the audible gasoline engine under brisk acceleration. But overall, the Jogger offers exactly what it promises: lots of practical car with modern technology, without unnecessary complexity.

Hybrid technology The Hybrid 155 replaces the earlier Hybrid 140 and combines an 80 kW (109 hp) 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline…
[93,99

post-165869","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-car-news","category-car-tests

Review - Dacia Jogger Hybrid 155 (2026) is bizarrely practical - All cars news

<meta property="og:description" content="Hybrid technology The Hybrid 155 replaces the earlier Hybrid 140 and combines an 80 kW (109 hp) 1.8-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine with two electric motors.
