Retro design speaks volumes. Renault shows with the Renault 4<\/a>, 5<\/a> and the Twingo<\/a> that it is entirely justified to revert to old acquaintances in modern times. The Porsche 911<\/a>, for that matter, has been doing this all its life, and if we look at the British, we see that Jaguar also took a gamble earlier with the move from the E-type to the F-type: not a copy, but a modern interpretation of a British sports car with history. Now Jensen is going to do the same – cool! <\/p>\n

A new Interceptor, developed entirely from scratch<\/h2>\n

The Jensen Interceptor name is returning thanks to Jensen International Automotive (JIA). This is not a further development of an existing model, but a completely redesigned car. <\/p>\n

Oldschool technology in a modern twist<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Under the skin, Jensen opts for an aluminum chassis combined with a V8 engine. This is remarkable, because in a time when classics often return as electric models, Jensen deliberately opts for a completely “analog” driving experience. <\/p>\n

Hand built in the United Kingdom<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The new Interceptor will be built by hand in the United Kingdom and will appear in a limited edition. In doing so, Jensen is drawing on decades of experience within the automotive industry. In order to properly oversee the project, a separate division is even being created to focus entirely on the development of this new Grand Tourer. <\/p>\n

A classic with a future<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Whether the new Jensen Interceptor will soon evoke the same feeling as its legendary predecessor remains to be seen. But the fact that a British classic is given a future again, with respect for its origins and without losing its soul, already makes this initiative special. <\/p>\n
