Because whether this recipe is so unique? No, it isn&#8217;t. Within Stellantis, this recipe is also available in other forms, including an Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce and Abarth 600e Scorpionissima. Those would be the crlssovers, but the same powertrain is also in the Lancia Ypsilon HF, Peugeot e-208 GTi and the future Opel Corsa GSE. And, of course, you can store outside Stellantis, too. Think an Alpine A290 GTS or a MINI Aceman JCW. So plenty of choice. So why choose the Opel Mokka GSE? To answer that question, we are treating this review as an experiment. Or rather, as the &#8220;Great Sensation Experiment. Did we like it, GSE, get it?           <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The BEST Opel of 2025: OPEL MOKKA GSE (2025) &#8211; REVIEW &#8211; AutoRAI TV<\/h2>\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The first question: does he look sensational?<\/h2>\n<p>Sensational may be a bit of a heavy word. But sporty looks the Opel Mokka GSE anyway, especially with the optional black hood. Other features of the model include GSE-specific inserts on the front bumper and at the rear, new aerodynamically optimized 20-inch alloy wheels combined with Michelin Pilot Sport EV 225\/40 R20 tires and yellow GSE four-piston calipers on the front wheels (brake brand: Alcon). Yellow-black GSE lettering on the front and sides complete the party.   <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"771\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/opel-mokka-gse-2025-review-autorai-foto50-1140x771.jpg\" alt=\"Opel Mokka GSE 2025 review\" class=\"wp-image-213428\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Opel Mokka GSE 2025 review<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the interior of the Opel Mokka GSE sensational?<\/h2>\n<p>And then the interior. Again, not exactly sensational, but nice and sporty. You take your seat on GSE Performance seats with integrated headrests. The seats are finished with alcantara. A white line running down the center of the upholstery and yellow stitching give the seats their distinctive look. Other details include GSE-specific alcantara inserts in the doors. The steering wheel is nicely flattened at the top and bottom. And finally, we also detect aluminum sport pedals.       &nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is he also somewhat practical?<\/h2>\n<p>The Opel Mokka GSE has a length of 4.15 meters, a width of 1.79 meters and a height of 1.51 meters. The wheelbase comes out to 2.56 meters. Within that wheelbase, front passengers benefit from the most interior space. In the back, the Mokka is not a space wonder. The empty weight of the car comes out to less than 1,600 kilograms: 1,597 kilograms to be exact. The boot of the Mokka has a capacity of 350 liters, expandable to 1,060 liters. There is also an adjustable floor.      &nbsp;  The luggage space is large enough for weekly groceries, a few trolleys or weekend bags.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"855\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/opel-mokka-gse-2025-review-autorai-foto49-1140x855.jpg\" alt=\"Rear seat space of the Opel Mokka GSE\" class=\"wp-image-213427\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Rear seat space of the Opel Mokka GSE<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Does the equipment provide sensations?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes, it does! In fact, the Opel Mokka GSE comes <em>fully loaded<\/em>. The central touchscreen is designed in typical GSE style and offers information on GSE performance data, G-force display, acceleration values, battery management data and more. As a driver, you look out on a 10-inch digital display. You also get standard Intelli-Lux Matrix lighting, automatic speed assist, active lane assist and a 180-degree rearview camera. Seat heating for the driver and passenger and a heated steering wheel have also been thought of, as well as an induction charger for smartphones.     <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is really sensational about this Opel?<\/h2>\n<p>Then at least mention the powertrain. The electric motor produces a peak output of 207 kW (281 hp) and a torque of no less than 345 Nm. That results in a 0-100 time of just 5.9 seconds and a top speed of 200 km\/h. Even better, this Opel features a multi-plate Torsen differential. This means that this Vauxhall can distribute its power excellently to the front wheels. The wheel with the most grip always gets the most power. There is a choice of three driving modes: Sport, Normal and Eco. Only in Sport mode does it deliver its full power. In Normal mode, it reaches speeds of up to 180 km\/h and power is limited to 170 kW. In Eco, all settings are tuned for the highest possible efficiency: in that case you have 140 kW, 300 Nm of torque and a top of 150 km\/h. Uniquely, the electric motor, inverter, battery and wiring is identical to the Mokka GSE Rally. So in that area, that bit of rally is all right.           <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1140\" height=\"712\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/11\/opel-mokka-gse-2025-review-autorai-foto1-1140x712.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-213379\"><\/figure>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Can you go on the track with it?<\/h2>\n<p><em>The proof is eating the pudding,<\/em> right? So yes, you can have quite a bit of fun on the track with the Mokka GSE. On the track, the Mokka GSE is in its element. It steers like a go-kart and the suspension handles all input in a neat and, above all, engaged manner. The extra stiffness in the chassis is very noticeable. And then the steering: lots of feeling. Less steering movement is also required because Opel has reduced the steering ratio from 16.2 to 14.5. By the way, the steering is power-assisted. The brakes offer a lot of feeling during braking. At the front, by the way, the Mokka GSE has 380 mm ventilated brake discs. At the rear, this is 268 mm discs. The rally car has Bilstein dampers. The street car has to make do with different hardware. In practice, that leaves less than 300 kilometers. So this Opel is not a range wonder. By the way, the Mokka GSE achieves the 336 kilometers only on the optional Eagle F1 tires from Goodyear. Of course, the suspension is also on the firm side. As an enthusiast, you take that for granted, but we can understand that not everyone likes it. The tires also make quite a bit of noise.      <\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Is the price sensational?&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<p>Actually, yes, because this Opel is not cheap. The Opel Mokka Electric GSE with 54 kWh and 281 hp has a starting price of 43,999 euros in the Netherlands. This also makes it the most expensive Mokka in the lineup, but compared to the Junior Veloce and 600e Scorpionissima, the Mokka GSE is again the cheapest option. An Opel Mokka 1.2 Turbo with 136 hp comes from 29,999 euros, for a Mokka 1.2 Turbo Hybrid eDCT 6-speed automatic 110kW (145 hp) you pay 31,999 euros and the electric Opel Mokka 54 kWh with 115 kW (156 hp) requires an investment of at least 33,999 euros.   <\/p>\n<p><strong>Crossovers &#8211; competitors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Opel Mokka GSE 281 hp: 43,999 euros&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce 280 hp: 45,950 euros<\/li>\n<li>MINI Aceman JCW 258 hp: 46,990 euros<\/li>\n<li>Abarth 600e Scorpionissima 280 hp: 49,990 euros<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Hatchbacks &#8211; competitors<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Lancia Ypsilon HF 280 hp: 40,950 euros<\/li>\n<li>Peugeot e-208 GTI: not yet known<\/li>\n<li>Alpine A290 GTS 220 hp: 44,800 euros<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Conclusion: is the Opel Mokka GSE really as sensational as Opel promises?<\/h2>\n<p>Yes and no. In terms of driving, it is absolutely a delightful EV with a serious amount of power as well. In terms of looks, however, it is one of the braver options within the Stellantis group. Sure, this Opel looks hearty, but an Abarth 600e Scorpionissima looks just a bit more special, the same goes for the Alfa Romeo Junior Veloce. On the other hand: compared to those two competitors, the Mokka GSE does have the lowest starting price. The difference is still 2,000 euros with the Alfa and 6,000 euros with the Abarth. In this case it will mainly be a matter of taste and brand perception. In terms of driving, this Opel does not disappoint. It is a blissful hot rod with amazingly good handling, fine steering and blissful seats. Secretly, we have become quite a fan of this Vauxhall.
