Citro\u00ebn and motor racing: you don’t immediately think of it, even though the brand has a very rich history with successes in the WRC and WTCC. Just think of all the victories of S\u00e9bastien Loeb. After sixty years of competition, Citroen is now opting for an all-electric future. The brand is competing in the ABB FIA Formula E championship. <\/p>\n

GEN3 Evo<\/h2>\n

The Citro\u00ebn GEN3 Evo is the single-seater with which the brand will compete. The electric powertrain delivers 350 kW (476 hp), good for a sprint from 0 to 100 km\/h in just 1.86 seconds. Top speed is around 320 km\/h – making it the fastest single-seater electric car ever in Formula E. <\/p>\n

Its carbon-fiber monocoque and total weight of 859 kilograms (including driver) make it exceptionally light for an electric car. Thanks to two electric motors, up to 600 kW of energy can be recovered during braking. <\/p>\n

Four-wheel drive in ‘Attack mode’<\/h3>\n

Normally only the rear axle drives the car, but in the so-called Attack mode<\/em>, front and rear axles work together. The 47 kWh battery is designed for maximum power output without overheating. <\/p>\n

French flag display<\/h3>\n

The design leaves nothing to chance. The Formula E car comes in red, white and blue – obviously a tribute to the French flag. According to Citro\u00ebn, the red nose stands for passion, the white body for elegance and the electric blue for technology and pride. <\/p>\n

Experienced team<\/h3>\n

Citro\u00ebn Racing relies on Jean-\u00c9ric Vergne and Nick Cassidy – two heavyweights from the Formula E world. Vergne is a two-time champion; Cassidy was vice champion in 2025. The team is led by Cyril Blais, an engineer with years of experience at Maserati and other Formula E teams. The first official test will take place on Oct. 27 in Valencia, followed by the debut at the S\u00e3o Paulo e-Prix on Dec. 6. <\/p>\n
