Ferrari Amalfi, whence this name?<\/h2>\n

The Ferrari Amalfi is named after the Amalfi Coast (in Italian: Costiera Amalfitana<\/em>), a famous and picturesque stretch of coast in southern Italy, south of Naples. This region is known for its winding coastal roads, dramatic cliffs, colorful villages such as Amalfi and Positano and azure views of the Mediterranean Sea. It is a place that exudes luxury, elegance and Italian flair – values that Ferrari is eager to associate with this new model. <\/p>\n

The car’s teal introductory color, Verde Costiera, refers directly to the colors of the sea along this coast and emphasizes that link. By using the name Amalfi, Ferrari evokes images of a stylish road trip along one of Europe’s most beautiful routes, befitting the luxury and sporting experience the brand wants to convey. <\/p>\n

Ferrari Amalfi: engine and performance<\/h2>\n

The Ferrari Amalfi uses a further developed 3,855 cc twin-turbo V8 taken from the F154 engine family. With 470 kW (640 hp) at 7,500 rpm, this engine delivers strong performance. The increase in power was achieved through precise turbo-tuning, with the maximum turbo speed increased to 171,000 rpm. Thanks to a flat crankshaft, twin-scroll technology and optimized turbochargers, throttle response has been improved. The transmission is an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic, familiar from the SF90 Stradale, but further refined for smoother transitions. This results in acceleration to 200 km\/h in 9 seconds and a power-to-weight ratio of 2.29 kg\/hp. <\/p>\n

The Amalfi builds on the lines of the Ferrari Roma, but has a more fluid and modern look. The front is characterized by a wide air intake and a long hood. At the rear, a character line continues into a compact tail, with an integrated active spoiler for greater stability. <\/p>\n

Interior: minimalist and connected<\/h2>\n

The interior of the Ferrari Amalfi features a dual cockpit layout, with a sleekly designed dashboard integrating the digital instrument panel and air vents. A 10.25-inch central touchscreen provides access to multimedia, climate control and vehicle settings. In addition, the passenger has their own 8.8-inch display with information such as G-forces and revs. Optional comfort seats offer massage functions with multiple programs and ventilation. The Burmester audio system with 14 speakers and 1,200 watts is optional. <\/p>\n

Equipment of Ferrari Amalfi<\/h2>\n

The Ferrari Amalfi offers extensive connectivity with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and wireless charging. The MyFerrari Connect system allows remote viewing of vehicle information via an app. The new HMI system provides intuitive operation, with physical buttons on the steering wheel for functions such as cruise control, phone and infotainment. The 15.6-inch instrument cluster clearly displays all driving information. <\/p>\n

Aerodynamics: active rear spoiler and optimized air flows<\/h2>\n

The aerodynamics of the Amalfi were developed with CFD simulations and wind tunnel testing. The body has a carefully designed underbody with vortex generators and diffusers that contribute to downforce and brake cooling. The active rear spoiler has three modes (Low Drag, Medium Downforce, High Downforce) and automatically adjusts to driving conditions, generating an additional 110 kg of downforce at 250 km\/h in HD mode. <\/p>\n

Brake-by-wire<\/h2>\n

Brake-by-wire is used for the first time in a Ferrari of this type, for improved pedal response. The ABS Evo system uses sensors to calculate the optimal slip for each wheel, which promotes stability especially in different road conditions. Grip estimation through the electric power steering is 10% faster than previous systems, making the vehicle’s reactions even more predictable. The Amalfi is equipped with modern ADAS systems, such as adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane assistance and traffic sign recognition. Optional features such as a 360-degree camera and Rear Cross Traffic Alert are available. <\/p>\n

Rims and tires<\/h2>\n

The Amalfi has 20-inch forged wheels, with tire sizes 245\/35 R20 at the front and 285\/35 R20 at the rear. Developed in collaboration with Bridgestone and Pirelli, the tires strike a balance between comfort and dynamics. <\/p>\n

Maintenance program<\/h2>\n

Ferrari offers a seven-year maintenance program, including annual maintenance or every 20,000 km, original parts and work by Ferrari specialists. This program applies worldwide and also to pre-owned Ferraris, preserving performance and reliability. The starting price of the Amalfi is not yet known.
