Aesthetic changes to the exterior<\/h2>\n
The most striking feature of the update is the front end. The grille features a new honeycomb pattern painted in the car’s paint color. Combined with the black underside and wide wheel arches, this should give a more robust appearance. In addition, Toyota is expanding the color range. The new shade ‘Precious Bronze’ comes as a bi-tone, with the roof and pillars in contrasting black. ‘Celestite Grey’ also makes an appearance, replacing the earlier silver. <\/p>\n Inside, Toyota opts for platinum-look details on the doors and dashboard to create a cohesive whole. The Dynamic trim gets access to sportier-shaped seats previously found only in the more expensive segments. These seats offer more lateral support and are finished with tricolor stitching. <\/p>\n A new material called SakuraTouch is being introduced for the Executive variant. This is a plant-based alternative to leather, made from wood residues, cork and recycled plastic (PET). According to the manufacturer, this significantly reduces CO2 emissions during production compared to traditional leather. From the Dynamic level, the car is now equipped with ambient lighting and a wireless charger; the electric tailgate follows from the Executive package. <\/p>\n The GR Sport version is a nod to Toyota Gazoo Racing’s racing activities. This version is distinguished by a different front bumper, specific side panels and 18-inch polished rims. Under the skin, the suspension has been modified for more direct steering. The interior of this version includes sport seats upholstered in dark gray suede-like material and red accents. The GR Sport comes exclusively with the more powerful hybrid powertrain and comes standard with additional safety systems such as a blind spot monitor. <\/p>\n In terms of luggage space, the Yaris Cross remains unchanged: 390 liters with the bench up and a maximum of 1,100 liters with the backrest folded down. The rear seat – depending on the version – folds down in three parts (40:20:40). The rear shelf is still a flexible one, which in practice can sometimes lead to noise development as it rattles a bit. <\/p>\n In terms of electronics, the car features the Smart Connect system with cloud navigation and voice control. Integration with smartphones via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto is done wirelessly. In terms of safety, systems such as a parking aid with braking function and various driving assistants (T-Mate) are present to support the driver. <\/p>\n The Toyota Yaris Cross always comes as a hybrid with a choice of Hybrid 115 or Hybrid 130. The Hybrid 115 is now offered only in the Active trim. It has a system output of 85 kW (116 hp) and 141 Nm of torque. Fuel consumption is between 4.4 and 4.7 l\/100 km. The Hybrid 130 powertrain was introduced in the Yaris Cross in 2024. The Hybrid 130 achieves a combined fuel consumption of 4.4 to 5.1 l\/100 km. <\/p>\n Delivery will start after the summer of 2026. Although exact prices for the new model are not yet known, the previous series’ price list started at 31,895 euros.
