Mini<\/h2>\n

Mini and lifestyle brand Deus Ex Machina have teamed up to build two brutal John Cooper Works show cars, each representing its own world. Both cars bear a large white cross on the roof – the symbol of their collaboration – but otherwise they are completely different. The Skeg is electric, sunny and sleek, with influences from the surf scene. The Machina is gasoline-fueled, loud and inspired by rally and racing. <\/p>\n

The Skeg<\/h2>\n

The Skeg is a Mini JCW that seems to have been raised among surfboards and salt water. Bright yellow with silver, wide hips and a spoiler is reminiscent of a big wave. Lightweight fiberglass panels have kept the weight down. Inside, everything is about functionality with a surfing nod. Seats with neoprene upholstery, trays for wetsuits and a dashboard that literally reminds one of a surfboard. <\/p>\n

The Machina<\/h2>\n

On the other side is The Machina. A Mini <\/a>JCW that is clearly not running on flip-flops, but on racing shoes. It is painted black, white and red, with extra spotlights on the hood and a huge spoiler on the back. Inside, it continues: aluminum plates on the floor, a roll cage over your head and a hydraulic handbrake. <\/p>\n

More than just cars<\/h2>\n

The collaboration goes beyond these two showcars. Deus designer Matt Willey provided the eye-catching graphics and there will be a Mini x Deus clothing line.
