Get Lost was founded by George Williams, better known as car photographer GFWilliams. He photographed unusual cars over the past few years – and still does, for that matter. That experience led to a vision: an extra rugged Lotus Elise S1. That vision is now becoming reality thanks. By the way, the idea is not original, because in 2018, Echeverri Mathieu<\/a> also presented an off-road Lotus Elise S1. <\/p>\n

Lotus Elise offroad<\/h2>\n

“The idea of using an Elise off-road may sound ridiculous and that’s exactly why we went for it,” says George Williams, founder of Get Lost. “That one crazy idea gave us real creative freedom. Every part was rethought from the ground up – not just to look good on its own, but to enhance the character and capabilities of the whole car.” <\/p>\n

Eyecatchers<\/h2>\n

Eye-catchers include a custom roof intake, custom rectangular headlights and a completely redesigned interior with high-quality materials. “It wasn’t enough for the car to look good – it also had to drive nicely,” George said. “Get Lost: Project Safari therefore features all-terrain tires and a fully modified suspension that provides more ground clearance and track width while refining body behavior to provide confidence while driving.” <\/p>\n

Drivetrain is still mystery<\/h2>\n

A new drive system delivers strong, reliable performance, while functional upgrades – such as a limited slip differential and hydraulic handbrake – add to the car’s playful character. Details about that powertrain have not yet been given. Popular choices among Elise S1 owners are Ford Duratec and Honda K20 engines. <\/p>\n

“This is not a modified Elise, but our interpretation of what the platform can offer. Everything has been considered – from the design to the handling – with the goal of creating something that is fun to drive,” says George Williams. “If you understand it, you understand us. If not? Get Lost.” <\/p>\n

Get Lost: Project Safari is Get Lost’s first vehicle. Production for customers will begin later this year. Get Lost now welcomes interested parties – customers, collaborative partners and anyone who recognizes this vision. <\/p>\n
