Morgan Supersport: design and construction<\/h2>\n

The Morgan Supersport retains Morgan’s signature retro design, with a long hood, pronounced fenders and a nearly vertical windshield. Yet modern touches have been added, such as a streamlined body and LED lighting, resulting in 5% lower drag and 20% less elevator compared to its predecessor. The vehicle is built on the new CXV platform, an evolution of the previously used bonded aluminum chassis, which provides a stiffer and lighter frame. Customers can choose between a fabric softtop or a hardtop in the same color as the body, with the softtop weighing only 19.7 kg, bringing the total weight of the car to 1,170 kg. <\/p>\n

Engine and performance<\/h2>\n

Under the hood is a 3.0-liter six-in-line turbocharged BMW engine that produces 340 hp and 500 Nm of torque. This powerplant enables the Supersport to accelerate from 0 to 100 km\/h in just 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 267 km\/h. The engine is mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission from ZF, which ensures smooth and responsive shifts. <\/p>\n

Interior and technology<\/h2>\n

The interior of the Morgan Supersport exudes minimalism and elegance, with a focus on the driver. The center console houses the shift lever for the automatic transmission, and although no manual transmission version is available, the car offers an analog driving experience without unnecessary driving assistance systems. High-quality materials, such as leather upholstery and wood accents, emphasize the craftsmanship Morgan is known for. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n

Price and availability<\/h2>\n

The Morgan Supersport gets a Dutch consumer recommended retail price of 162,950 euros. This price applies to the base version with soft top. The hardtop has an additional price of 5,550 euros. There is also a special introductory model, the Morgan Supersport First Glance, with interesting options. That car will be priced at 190,450 euros. Test drives will be available from mid-April at selected dealers, and first deliveries to customers are expected later this year. <\/p>\n
