It is a distinctive model in the C-SUV segment that stands out for its bold design and dynamic handling. The model has contributed to a fresh perception of Toyota in Europe, with its sporty coupe-like appearance in particular attracting customers. More than half of buyers cited design as the main reason for purchase.   <\/p>\n<h2>Two generations<\/h2>\n<p>With two generations &#8211; with the second generation entering the market in late 2023 &#8211; the Toyota C-HR maintains its strong sales performance and remains one of Toyota&#8217;s most popular products.<\/p>\n<h2>Now also as a plug-in hybrid<\/h2>\n<p>The latest Toyota C-HR includes a PHEV in the lineup for the first time: the Plug-in Hybrid 220. It offers an electric range of up to 66 km (WLTP combined) and up to about 100 km in city use (WLTP EAER City).   <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-content\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1140\" height=\"760\" src=\"https:\/\/autorai.nl\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/12\/toyota-c-hr-miljoen-europa-20242-1140x760.jpg\" alt=\"Toyota C-HR\" class=\"wp-image-191437\"><\/figure>\n<h2>Batteries from Turkey<\/h2>\n<p>A first for Toyota: the batteries for the PHEV are produced locally in Europe, at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey (TMMT) in Sakarya, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the Plug-in Hybrid 220, there are three hybrid powertrains based on Toyota&#8217;s latest fifth-generation hybrid technology. The Hybrid 140 features a 1.8-liter engine with 140 DIN horsepower, while the Hybrid 200 with a 2.0-liter engine combines 197 DIN horsepower and 190 Nm of torque for a dynamic driving experience. The Hybrid 200 AWD-i adds all-wheel drive for increased traction, stability and confidence in a variety of driving conditions.  <\/p>\n<h2>TNGA<\/h2>\n<p>The new Toyota C-HR builds on the dynamic handling of the original. The updated Toyota New Generation Architecture (TNGA) offers higher torsional rigidity and lower vehicle weight. Smart aerodynamics provide an air drag coefficient of 0.318, achieved in part by an optimized body shape and improved airflow. For the first time worldwide in Toyota models, the Plug-in Hybrid 220 and GR SPORT are equipped with ZF Frequency Sensitive Control (FSC) technology for enhanced driving comfort and dynamics.   <\/p>\n<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Toyota C-HR, since 2016 The Toyota C-HR entered the European market in 2016.
