Only on Dec. 18 (in the Government Gazette) was the curtain pulled back on the BPM measure for electric motorcycles, and it is not soft.   <\/p>\n<h2>19.4% BPM for electric motor<\/h2>\n<p>Effective January 1, 2025, electric motorcycles are subject to a BPM levy of 19.4% on the list price. Importer Electric Motorcycles Netherlands, of the Energica brand, among others, is therefore faced with a substantial price increase. As a result, the Energica Experia rises 4,559 euros in price. This brings it to 35,010 euros.   <\/p>\n<h2>Electric motor twice as expensive<\/h2>\n<p>The electric Energica will be almost twice as expensive as a comparable gasoline-powered motorcycle. &#8220;The price difference between an electric and a fuel motorcycle is significantly increased by these measures. A comparison between the Yamaha Tracer 900 GT (fuel) and the Energica Experia (electric) clearly shows this. Also, owners of electric motorcycles were exempt from MRB<br \/> (Motor Vehicle Tax) and BPM. <\/p>\n<h2>Sustainable mobility<\/h2>\n<p>Electric Motorcycles notes that the role of the electric motorcycle for sustainable mobility is not recognized by the government. &#8220;For the purchase of electric cars, subsidies existed such as the SEPP (Subsidy for Electric Passenger Cars for Individuals) and the SEBA (Subsidy for Emission Free Company Cars). Motorcycles were excluded from any kind of subsidy from the beginning, both locally and nationally.
