On a fourth stretch, the A37 between Holssloot and Zwartemeer, the study is still in progress. The results are expected in early 2025.  <\/p>\n<h2>Where possible, drive faster<\/h2>\n<p>According to Minister Madlener, increasing the speed is a logical step as long as it is justified in terms of nitrogen emissions, noise pollution, air quality and road safety. &#8220;This is only the beginning. In 2025, we will examine more sections so that we can expand step by step,&#8221; Madlener said. <\/p>\n<p>On the A7 towards Germany, a larger section of the highway was initially in the picture, but due to noise standards this is limited. Once quiet asphalt is installed during major maintenance (scheduled between 2028 and 2032), a larger section of the road could possibly receive the higher limit. <\/p>\n<h2>Broader mobility plan<\/h2>\n<p>The speed limit increase is part of the government&#8217;s broader Auto Action Agenda. This plan focuses on improving mobility and road safety, reducing congestion and making new residential locations accessible. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to speed increases, measures such as the restart of stalled road projects, the development of mobility hubs, and pilots of high-speed bus connections across the highway are being taken.
