Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV design<\/h2>\n

The new Outlander PHEV is 4,719 mm long, 1,862 mm wide and 1,750 mm high.
\nThe wheelbase is 2,704 mm.
\nThe design of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV needs little explanation.
\nThe car looks tough and like a typical Mitsubishi, with the Dynamic Shield front design in particular standing out. There is a choice of 18- or 20-inch alloy wheels. There is a choice of seven body colors, four of which are on the higher trims in combination with a black roof.
\nThe new metallic color Moonstone Grey has a striking blue glow.
\nThis color consists of as many as four layers. <\/p>\n

Interior<\/h2>\n

The interior looks sleek and modern.
\nSmarter design has created more interior space.
\nOf course, there are several digital displays.
\nA head-up display is optionally available.
\nCharging your phone wirelessly is also possible, of course, as is using Apple CarPlay or Android auto.
\nThe interior mirror is frameless and also has a digital function.
\nWhen visibility is difficult due to rear passengers, luggage or conditions, the driver can view the image from the rearview camera in the interior mirror so he can simply look backwards.

Luggage space<\/h2>\n

The interior of the Outlander PHEV is bathed in natural light due to the large panoramic sunroof that is no less than 93 centimeters long and 70 centimeters wide.
\nThis roof can also be opened.
\nThe rear seats fold down in a ratio of 40:20:40.
\nThose who need extra luggage space can simply use a lever to flatten the seatback in parts.
\nWith the backrest up, the new Outlander PHEV offers 495 liters more luggage space than before, with the entire backrest flat the space grows to 1,422 liters.
\nThe larger opening of the tailgate also makes it easy to load and unload (a lot of) luggage.
\nThe trunk lid is fully remote controlled, using both your foot and hand transmitter. <\/p>\n

Drivetrain Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV<\/h2>\n

The Outlander PHEV has been further developed and the plug-in hybrid powertrain has been completely redesigned.
\nThe powertrain consists of a four-cylinder gasoline engine, two electric motors, a larger lithium-ion battery and a shift-by-wire transmission.
\nPower output is about 36 percent higher compared to the previous generation Outlander PHEV. <\/p>\n

The front electric motor delivers 85 kW (116 hp) of power and 255 Nm of torque; the rear one delivers 100 kW (136 hp) and 195 Nm.
\nThe latter has an integrated motor control unit and therefore takes up less space.
\nThe battery has a capacity of 22.7 kWh, allowing the new Outlander PHEV to drive even longer in EV mode without help from the gasoline engine.
\nAccording to the official WLTP test, the range in electric mode is of 86 kilometers. <\/p>\n

The fuel engine is a redeveloped engine based on the previous generation Outlander: 2,360 cm3, sixteen valves and DOHC.
\nExhaust gas recirculation, expanded cooling channels and an integrated exhaust manifold are new to reduce fuel consumption and improve performance.
\nThe 100 kW (136 hp) and 203 Nm gasoline engine works smoothly with the electric motors in the powertrain for a jerk-free, dynamic driving experience.
\nThe system output is 225 kW (302 hp).
\nThe increased power enables 0-100 km\/h acceleration in just 7.9 seconds.
\nThe gasoline tank has been increased to 53 liters, making the total range even greater when electric and hybrid driving are combined. <\/p>\n

Heat pump and V2H<\/h2>\n

The Outlander PHEV is also equipped with a heat pump, which reduces power consumption even when the climate control is active.
\nThe heat pump also contributes to the increased electric range, even in cold weather.
\nThe Outlander PHEV is also equipped with a fast charging function.
\nThis is Type 2 as a CHAdeMO connection.
\nTo fully integrate the Outlander PHEV into the user’s life, it is capable of delivering power to the home if needed (vehicle-to-home). <\/p>\n
