Electric delivery vans <\/strong><\/h2>\n

Starting Sept. 24, entrepreneurs in the Netherlands can apply for subsidies to install charging points for electric vans and trucks<\/a>.
\nWith the introduction of two subsidy schemes, the government wants to make the switch to electric commercial vehicles more attractive.
\nBoth small and medium-sized companies can now take advantage of this. <\/p>\n

Corporate grants: SPRILA and SPULA<\/h2>\n

The first counter that has opened is called SPRILA, which stands for the “Private Charging Infrastructure at Businesses Subsidy Scheme.”
\nThis allows small and medium-sized business owners to recover up to 40 percent of their costs for charging points.
\nFor larger companies, a different scheme will come into effect from Oct. 1: the SPULA, or “Subsidy Scheme for Public Charging Infrastructure Heavy Transport,” under which companies will be reimbursed 20 percent of the costs.
\nIf there are problems with grid capacity, business owners can also apply for subsidies for a stationary battery. <\/p>\n

How much money is available?<\/h2>\n

The government has made a fair amount of money available for both subsidy schemes: some 57 million euros in total.
\nThis money can be used for both the purchase of charging points and advice on their installation.
\nThe financial push is aimed at entrepreneurs who are unsure about switching to electric driving. <\/p>\n

Electric heavy transport<\/h3>\n

For business owners looking to invest in charging points for heavy electric transport, such as trucks, the SPULA scheme (available from Oct. 1) offers a solution.
\nThis scheme focuses specifically on charging infrastructure that is publicly accessible.
\nThat means you can build charging points that other companies can also use.
\nThis can be done, for example, in business parks or roadside parking lots. <\/p>\n

What are the conditions? <\/h2>\n

The charging stations must meet some tough requirements.
\nFor example, the charging infrastructure must have at least 1,400 kW of capacity and there must be charging stations with a capacity of at least 350 kW.
\nIn addition, a stationary battery is an option when there is insufficient capacity on the power grid. <\/p>\n

How do you apply for a grant?<\/h2>\n

Applying for the subsidy is fairly easy, as long as you have the right documents on hand.
\nCompanies that want to apply for the SPRILA scheme can do so from now on through the online portal of the RFO<\/a>.
\nFor the SPULA scheme, entrepreneurs still have to wait until October 1.
\nMake sure you have prepared everything in time, because the subsidies are awarded on a first come, first served basis. <\/p>\n

What amounts can you expect?<\/h2>\n

For charging stations with a capacity between 200 kW and 350 kW, entrepreneurs can receive 19,000 euros in subsidies.
\nIf you build charging stations with a capacity of more than 350 kW, this can amount to 43,000 euros per charging station.
\nIf you opt for a stationary battery, you will receive 80 euros per kWh of storage capacity. <\/p>\n

Why is this arrangement important?<\/h2>\n

The transportation sector faces a huge challenge when it comes to sustainability.
\nElectric transport can drastically reduce greenhouse gas emissions, but the infrastructure to make this possible often lags behind.
\nWith the SPRILA and SPULA schemes, the government hopes to take a big step forward.
\nIn addition, the schemes offer companies the opportunity to make their own contribution to a sustainable future, while also benefiting from lower operating costs and tax advantages in the long term. <\/p>\n
