We start with the bad news: the Theory 1 will not go on sale. \nIt is a concept car that shows what is possible with the technology of today and tomorrow. \nAccording to the brand, it is not just a fast car, but a whole new way of driving. \nThe Theory 1 is designed according to a new approach by Lotus: they want to build cars that are smart, look good, and still deliver the top performance they are known for. \nThe idea is to build the car around the driver as much as possible, so that everything feels intuitive and does exactly what you want. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<\/p>\n
A car that thinks with you<\/strong><\/h2>\n
One of the most striking things about the Theory 1 is the so-called Lotuswear system, a new system that allows the car’s seats and steering wheel to literally move with your driving style. \nIf you drive sportily, you get extra support when cornering. \nIf you drive leisurely, the car makes it especially comfortable. \nIt’s a bit like the car senses what you need and adjusts accordingly. <\/p>\n
The Theory 1 is a three-seat sports car, with the driver in the center and, diagonally behind, two seats for passengers. \nInspired by Formula 1, the central seating position provides a good overview and all controls are easily accessible. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n
More Smart Gadgets<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Do you like to sit in silence or do you just want to hear the sound of the engine extra well? \nThe Theory 1 has speakers in the headrests that allow you to adjust the sound to your liking. \nWhether you only want to hear the roar of the engine or just want everything to be quiet, it’s all possible. \nOf course, the sound is artificial because the powertrain is completely electric. <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n
Sustainable <\/strong><\/h2>\n
Lotus has also thought about the environment. \nInstead of using dozens of different materials, they chose to use only 10 types that are sustainable and recyclable. \nMuch of the car consists of recycled carbon fiber. <\/p>\n
Special doors<\/strong><\/h2>\n
Lotus has developed a patented door system, with doors that slide open to the rear. \nThey offer occupants easy entry, and the Theory 1 takes up very little space even with the doors open. \nThis allows the driver to get in and out easily even in a tight parking space. <\/p>\n<\/p>\n
